The new lines of jewelry by Becky Gravenmier are fabulous. Becky set up a terrific display featuring her new works and they are really attractive. Loved the chic clay silver creations. Lots of work goes into these pieces but the results are very individualized . The clay is burned away leaving a 99.9% pure silver piece. Becky accents the pieces with man made stones for a little extra glitter – natural stones can’t take the fire. Her other new line of jewelry is called the Klickitat, after the county . It has the copper and brass findings so popular now and is enhanced by the addition of natural stones. Artsy and fun to wear.
The evening featured wines of the Gorge presented by Leroy Schoot. A great collection of reds and whites to accompany the delicious selection of appetizers assembled by Becky and given her special touch. Becky is so talented, she is a caterer too. My personal favorite wine choice was quite different for me it was the Rousanne by Syncline. Kind like a rose’ but much more complex and thoroughly enjoyable. IGA sent over a complimentary tray of cheeses they are featuring in their Goldendale Store. Thanks so much for the community support!!
As a special treat we had the fine guitar and singing styling of Doug Siegal. Very popular around here, he is the school band teacher and a fine performer on his own. Everyone enjoyed his music . I am guessing but I believe we had about 50 people in attendance. It is one of our best so far as numbers are concerned. Great to have so much local support. Becky’s display will remain as the Gallery feature through the month of November.
