This month the Golden Art Gallery featured my scratch board works. The Second Thursday Artist Reception was just about the best ever featuring a flight of Viognier wines for wine sampling and grading and the live performance of Doug Siegel on his guitar. Fabulous food was provided by members attending the reception. I had two pictures done in the scratch board technique that were sold plus numerous cards. Margaret Burkhart sold one of her paintings as well making this evening one of our top sales events ever. Wow !! The wine tasting was lots of fun with four Viognier wines to be sampled and graded by any participant. Leroy Schoot, our wine steward, made grading the wines easy enough for those of us that are not up snuff in the nose department, all we had to do was pick our favorite out of the four and circle the matching letter on the voting card. My thanks to everyone who helped with this special event. Next month we will feature the work of the art students in Klickitat County
So many friends came to support the event that I really felt quite honored and I was delighted to find that most of the artist cards I had created were picked up and donations made to the gallery for them. I had made them using scratch paper which I mounted on mat board and placed in a clear bag. Each was an original and all were colored with inks just like the larger wall art.
